Instrument Hire Info

We have violins, violas, cellos and double basses available for hire in all sizes. We recommend that you give us a call before you visit to make sure that we can put an instrument aside for you.

VIOLIN HIRE   Hire is $99 per term ($89 per term for 1/2 size and smaller).

 Includes violin, bow, case and first basic resin.

 Also required: Shoulder Rest (from $28 for good quality).

 The first hire payment is deductible from the price of the hired or other violin if purchasing.

 

 VIOLA HIRE  Hire is $119 per term from 15" to 16" ($99 for 14" and smaller).

 Includes viola, bow, case and first basic resin. 

 Also required: Shoulder Rest (from $28 or $47 depending on size of viola).

 The first hire payment is deductible from the price of the hired or other viola if purchasing.

 

 CELLO HIRE   Hire is $249 per term ($199 for 1/2 size and smaller).

 Includes cello, bow, padded bag, first basic resin.

 Sometimes required: “Black Hole” or "Artino" endpin holder to prevent endpin slipping and to protect wooden floors ($28/$29).

 The first hire payment is deductible from the price of the hired or other cello if purchasing.

 

DOUBLE BASS HIRE   Hire is $349 per term for 3/4 size ($289 for 1/2 size and smaller). 

Includes double bass, bow, padded bag.

Also required: Double Bass Resin (''Pops" $30, "Nyman" $20, "Petz" $18)

Sometimes required: “Black Hole” or "Artino" endpin holder to prevent endpin slipping and to protect wooden floors ($28/$29).

The first hire payment is deductible from the price of the hired or other bass if purchasing.

 If purchasing an instrument, Cellissimo! gives a trade-back price in writing to simplify the up-sizing or up-grading process in the future.

For customers unable to visit during business hours, Cellissimo! provides a reasonably priced delivery service. Appointments may also be made after hours.
